This is why sites like archive.org are so valuable. You can get "The Finished Mystery" and "Harp of God" and other such books from the early Rutherford period in scanned .pdf form to show your JW friends and family just what sort of organization Jesus Christ supposedly chose in 1918-19.

WT Society Alters their History as " The Party " did in George Orwell's 1984
by flipper infinally my wife and i got around to reading george orwell's " 1984 " .
as many of you know who have read the book that " the party " or " big brother " as the ruling power in the book is called ; constantly changes records of it's past dealings so as to deceive the public about any false forecasts they may have mistakenly made ; in an effort to put forth a positive image of itself it destroys past embarrassing records or paperwork which would expose the " party " as a failure.
much the way the wt society has altered their history to deceive the public and their own members.. notice this quote from george orwell's " 1984 " on pg.

There are a few different outcomes that I'd consider "victory" in this case.
One, is if it becomes a widespread international public relations debacle for the Borg.
Two, if the Borg is forced - at least in Victoria Australia - to require all its elders and ministerial servants to undergo the required criminal background checks upon either their recommendation or appointment and then at whatever regular intervals thereafter required by law.
Three, if growth of the organization decreases significantly as a result of the public relations debacle in "victory" one above.
Fourth, if the prosecution manages to avoid the same sort of "gag order" the Borg attorney is seeking in the Menlo Park, CA case (and that the Borg attorneys are certain to ask for in this case) and all case documentation and transcripts become publicly available.

Was today's WT study an indictment of us who still attend the KH?
by compound complex ingiven the interest shown in today's wt study, i got to thinking that the society knows many of us still attend meetings.
the wording of today's lesson doesn't allude only to outsider's breaking in with their filthy apostate literature and tv interviews but also to satanic insider's working the faithful sheep in the pen.. we've discussed on other threads how jwn and like sites appear to be monitored.
of course, the society's literature never clues the reader in on what exactly apostates teach nor how we infiltrators do our clandestine work of sabotaging the sheep's faith.. any thoughts?.

This entire magazine is about ONE THING ONLY.
Controlling the thoughts (any non-WT information is false), the emotions (any non-WT information is from Satan - FEAR IT), and behaviors (AVOID any non-WT information) of the members so that they do not have access to TRUE INFORMATION about the cult.
The Borg doesn't care about your or I or anything we have to say. They only care about keeping true information from the indoctrinated cult members and they use BITE mind control to do it.

Awesome, serenitynow!
In what way did they interrogate you? Did they want more info about the UN or were they interrogating you to find out "how do you know about that?!?"

I most sincerely HOPE that I'm dangerous to the Borg in FACT and not just rhetoric. If I can help JUST ONE person leave that bastion of hate and corruption then I'll be a happy man. (I guess I should say "one more person" since I've helped my wife and daughter out - and sort of my mom and dad even though they still sometimes attend like you, CoCo.)
Thanks for this thread and for sharing what you're going through. Your gift of prose almost makes the Watchtower rhetoric palatable.

Rutherford and his hand picked cronies went to prison and still ran the Borg as soon as they were released. They were loved for it.
This case will have no effect on their authority to rule the Borg. The Borg runs itself and there is no one of higher authority than the GB who could force them to 'step down' whether they're reprehensible or not.
The case may have a chance to "stumble" some people out but not if it doesn't get some international media exposure.

I didn't go but had to study it in order to discuss it on Cult Free Radio. It made me sick. The worst thing about it is knowing that the people I used to call family and friends will judge me and my wife based on it.

Worst Watchtower Study Ever?
by FrankWTower inthis past week's (9/11/2011) watchtower study on apostates has been the worst study i've had to endure ever since i opened my eyes up to the watchtower's "truth.
"i disgusted me.
i wish more people could actually see what's in front of them.

It isn't necessarily this week's study that is the worst ever, it is the entire July 15, 2011 issue of the rag.
Absolute hate-filled garbage from cover to cover.

Great read, Jeff. I can only wish 9/11 had affected me. Maybe it did and I didn't notice. I don't know.
